Terms of Service
Last updated: 01/11/2025
By using this website and its related services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the platform.
1. Overview
QSL Gateway provides two primary services: (1) a central QSL handling gateway for licensed amateur radio operators who wish to manage incoming QSL requests, and (2) a simple, no-signup system for operators wishing to request a QSL card. The platform aims to facilitate QSL exchanges while reducing cost and complexity for all users.
2. Eligibility
To use the QSL gateway service as a card provider, you must be a licensed amateur radio operator with a valid QRZ.com API subscription and logbook information available on QRZ.com.
To request a QSL card, you must provide accurate information about the contact you made. No user account or registration is required.
3. User Responsibilities
- You agree to submit accurate information regarding your QSO (contact).
- You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access unauthorized areas, or interfere with its operation.
- You are responsible for ensuring the information you provide is correct, including callsigns, dates, times, and band details.
4. Payments
Payments made through the system help offset the cost of printing and sending physical QSL cards and are non-refundable. They do not guarantee expedited processing or special handling.
5. Digital QSL Cards
The platform may offer the ability to generate a digital QSL card instantly. Digital cards are provided as-is and may be used for personal logging or display purposes. Acceptance of digital cards for awards or verification depends entirely on third-party rules and is outside the scope of this service.
6. QRZ.com Integration
Operators using the gateway service acknowledge that the system retrieves log data directly from QRZ.com using the user's API subscription. The platform does not store or replicate your full logbook, and access is limited to what is required for card generation.
7. Limitations of Service
While we aim to provide a reliable service, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may temporarily or permanently modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
We are not responsible for postal delays, loss of mailed cards, or any third-party issues involving delivery.
8. Privacy and Data Use
We collect only the minimum amount of information necessary to deliver the service. Please refer to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for additional details.
9. Prohibited Use
Users may not:
- Submit fraudulent, fake, or fabricated QSO information.
- Attempt to manipulate API calls or automate requests beyond normal usage.
- Use the system for advertising, spam, or non-amateur-radio-related purposes.
10. Liability Disclaimer
This service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use—or inability to use—the service.
11. Changes to the Terms
These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
12. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, please contact us using the information provided on the website.
